The Sanctum of Wisdom
Seven years ago, The Sanctum of Wisdom, or SOW, was born. There was a small information underground forming at this time that would eventually be known as the OEC (Online Energy Community - a resource primarily of Ki / Life-Force, Psionics, and Mysticism study), and by luck of timing, the SOW was in the middle of it. Possibly due to this fact alone, it left an impression that remained after the OEC's gradual transformation and 'stilling' - today not being the collective of websites and forums in affiliation that it used to be. The SOW was retired late 2002. After some involvement with remaining forums, the webmaster/author, F8te, went on with his practice, study, and planning away from most of the community, gradually making a silent leave. Second Awakening During the summer of 2005, a sudden and path-altering turn of events led to an intense study of Biblical scripture that revealed the Bible under a new light, free of denomination and hierarchal structure determined by man, yet still fully Christian. F8te, or rather, I, was convinced the Lord Jesus Christ had answered my pleas to show me the mysteries he (Jesus) held about the true "way" and how to approach it. I admit, I was frustrated with the occult; not because there was something I couldn't achieve (no, I had many experiences and insights), but rather, because I honestly felt something was wrong with the entire occult movement. So, knowing that Jesus is a significant figure in both Christianity and the Occult - although his teachings are interpreted differently - I concluded he had to be a 'key', if not 'the key'. Prior to this, I had been into the Occult for a bit under 10 years, but regardless of that, the sincere Christian faith of a friend - one that truly demonstrated a place of peace I had never witnessed in any student of the occult - inspired me to approach Jesus Christ in such a way: surrender, and acceptance of what he did for me many centuries ago on the cross. That is, sacrificing himself in order to transform and heal my state of innate corruption (original sin), to give me a real way out of this illusion that binds me (the adversary's lies), to give me true spiritual freedom (the Holy Spirit dwelling within me). This accomplished because Jesus was God directly manifest in the flesh, and the only time God came down in a human, making Jesus the "Son of God". Still under my old view, and understanding the "divine being", "Master Teacher", and "Ascended Master" this Jesus figure was in the occult, in addition to my understanding of reincarnation - giving me another chance at life if I don't get this one right, and my understanding of the Unity of all things - us being extensions of the Prime Creator and all connected, I concluded that there was no reason I shouldn't let the Jesus of Christianity work with me and risk a life following him if I had the prospect of reincarnation; after all, he seemed like a good guy in general, if we're just referring to him as a spiritual being. Surprisingly, as a few days went by, I felt my eyes opening to the scriptures in a way I couldn't grasp before. By this I mean a renewed understanding of them, and of the corruption in my old ways, finally seeing that they were leading to what I can best term as 'death' in my self, spiritual and physical. A New Direction It should be important to note that I don't prescribe to my previous beliefs in the occult, reincarnation, or the unity as described by the new age for reasons I can clearly address (but will not, for now, in this testimonial). The reason I share all of this with you is because of the drastic change and immense healing this brought to my life. Furthermore, it's enough to say that I had some big dreams for my future in the area of the occult and spreading of it's teachings, but now they've ultimately been transformed into a Christian focus. However, noting how large Christianity is with all it's denominations and pseudo-Christian cults, I've been reminded of the corruption present in a large part of this religion caused by greed and lust of power by man. Bringing me to this point: the message is in the Gospel (the "Good Word", the books of the apostles in the Bible, specifically the New Testament), and this is the basic foundation the Christian needs for their path, without so many of the extra traditions and interpretations added by many denominations; but that's something to be discussed in detail another time. ----------------- More to come.
